Shivalik’s Electoral literacy club was set up to promote electoral literacy in all age group specially children of 15 to 18 years old through engaging and interesting activities.
Objectives of the Club
- To educate the students about Voter registration, electoral process and related matters through hands on experience.
- To help them understand the value of their vote and exercise their right to franchise in a confident, comfortable and ethical manner in future
- To facilitate voter registration for its eligible members who are not yet registered.
An activity was conducted for Class X related to Lok Sabha elections in Punjab for voting education and awareness on a regular basis in school.Students were instructed to gather information about Lok Sabha elections in Punjab which will be held on 1st June, 2024. By doing this activity, students are familiarized with different constituencies and districts of Punjab where elections will be held and they know about the candidates those who are contesting elections.
