NSS UNIT

The NSS camp organised at Shivalik Public School from 30 September 2024 to 7 October 2024 was an enriching experience that combined physical wellness, spiritual growth and community service. Each day began with invigorating yoga and exercises, promoting mindfulness and health.
Insipring lectures from the Brahma Kumaris encouraged personal reflection. Participants engaged in a cleanliness drive at the school and in Buterla village, fostering community responsibility. Key sessions on disaster management, traffic awareness by the Chandigarh Traffic Department and organ donation by the MOHAN Foundation provided vital life skills.
Additionally, participants learned about the POCSO Act, Financial Literacy and visited a Gurudwara Sahib and an old age home, enhancing their sense of empathy. Creative activities, such as poster making, diya crafting and painting sessions, encouraged artistic expression.
Overall, the camp was a transformative journey that inspired participants to embrace wellness, community engagement and practical knowledge, empowering them to make a positive impact.
