76th Republic Day

Mohali, January 26, 2025: Shivalik Public School, Mohali, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with remarkable zeal and patriotic fervor. The event eloquently showcased India’s cultural diversity and the values enshrined in its Constitution, as students and teachers came together to commemorate the significance of this historic day.  The festivities began with the ceremonial Flag Hoisting by Principal of Shivalik Institute of Education and Research Dr. Jyoti Soni accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic pride. This was followed by a March Past performed by the students of Shivalik, showcasing their discipline and dedication which garnered appreciation from everyone. The festivities continued with a soul-stirring School Shabad and a warm Welcome Address, setting the tone for an inspiring celebration. Ms. Prabhjot Kaur delivered an insightful Teacher’s Talk on the significance of Republic Day, emphasizing unity and the principles that define our Republic.  
As part of the celebrations, adding further pride to the occasion, our NCC Cadets participated in a district-level March Past at Government School, Phase 6, Mohali. Their disciplined performance received accolades from Principal of Shivalik Public School Dr.Anup Kiran Kaur, Vice Principal Dr.Teena Chopra and Principal of Shivalik Institute of Education and Research Dr.Jyoti Soni who honoured and appreciated their dedication.  
The cultural program at the school was equally vibrant, featuring multilingual poetry, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, and dance performances. A Mock Parliament Skit by Class IX stood out as a highlight, creatively showcasing the democratic ideals of the Republic. The significance of Voter’s Day was also underscored through an impactful address by Ms. Ishita Rakhra, encouraging students to embrace their civic duties.  The event culminated with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks and the powerful rendition of the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and filled with patriotic pride. This celebration was a testament to the dedication of the students and staff, their unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Republic, and their efforts to instill a sense of national pride and unity.
