Shivalik Public School, Mohali celebrated its Annual Day and Prize distribution ceremony ‘Euphoria -2023’amidst great zest ,vibrancy and elation with a display of immense talent in order to mark 53 memorable years of academic excellence and presence of this institution which is setting standards across the globe. October 21 was a much-awaited day when the students, faculty members and parents were filled with great ardour to witness the extraordinary ventures of the students, who worked exuberantly for this occasion. The programme took place in the School Auditorium. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri D S Bedi, Director, Shivalik Public School, Ms Gurkiran Kaur Nalwa, Principal, Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh, escorted by other dignitaries and the Principal of the school. This entailed the bouquet presentation and a welcome speech. Respected Principal, Dr. Anupkiran Kaur presented the School’s Annual report of the session 2022-23.
The Cultural programme EUPHORIA depicted an array of Western ,Regional ,Folk dances and theme based performances portraying our pride, heritage and the current scenario. The students also rendered euphonic songs. The Dances were exhilarating presentations of various dance forms. The theme based dances were filled with energy and enthusiasm showcased by the Senior school students.
These performances enchanted the sizable number of the audience during the ongoing program. The coordination, expressions, delivery, and confidence of these beautiful souls clad in vibrant attires left everyone in awe. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, managed by Mr. D.S. Bedi where the Hon’ble Chief Guest gave away prizes to the meritorious pupils of the school. The School felicitated the students with cash reward of Rs. 3100/- for their brilliant academic performance in the session 2022-23.
The Chief Guest, Mr D.S Bedi Director, Shivalik Public Schools, in his concluding address was superlative in his appreciation of the students for a magnificent programme presented. He lauded the vision and mission of the school and emphasised that no one has ever succeeded in life without a failure, so take life as a challenge. He urged the parents to help their children in making healthy choices while encouraging them to make their own decisions. He advised them to respect childrens' opinion and take into account their thoughts and feelings. It is important that they know that their parents are listening to them. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
