The students and teachers of Shivalik Public School, Phase 6, Mohali celebrated the festival of lights – Diwali and Children’s day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Due to covid-19 pandemic online assembly was held wherein students from classes III – V conveyed the message of SAFE DIWALI, GREEN DIWALI through their speeches and poetry recitals. Children’s day was also celebrated. Students present a role play and a presentation was shown depicting the life history of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. To make it a joyful day for the students Diya decoration competition was conducted. Students participated with great excitement and fervour.
The Principal Ms. Anupkiran Kaur appreciated the efforts put in by teachers and students. She wished that this festival brings bright sparkles of joy and happiness in everyone’s life. She also motivated students to follow the teachings of our former Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.
The celebration ended with the national anthem with vocal accompaniment by the students.
