Baisakhi

Baisakhi is an ancient festival symbolising the new harvest season and the beginning of the solar new year. 
 A Special assembly was conducted to celebrate Baisakhi and Founder’s Day. Shabad was also recited during assembly. Teachers added to the knowledge of the students about Baisakhi, Founder’s Day and Ambedkar Jayanti. In Nursery class, beautiful takeaways were given to students. In LKG class,pasting of match sticks and in UKG, Bubble painting activity was conducted.
In class I, colouring activity and in class II, pasting of match sticks activity was conducted. In classes III to XII, teachers enlightened the students about the importance of Baisakhi and threw light on the contribution of Dr B.R. Ambedkar in framing of Indian Constitution.
Students learnt about the historical context of Baisakhi, particularly the formation of Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, 
Sri Sukhmani Sahib Path was recited and Shabad Kirtan was performed by the students. 
The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the students of the rich culture and heritage of Punjab.
Madam Principal conveyed her best wishes to all and blessed everyone with the bounty of the season and a harvest of joy and prosperity.
