Recognising this, Dry fruit Day was organised in Kindergarten in Shivalik Public School, Patiala to raise awareness among children. This initiative offered a unique educational opportunity, allowing teachers to discuss the nutritional benefits, origins, and the role of various dry fruits in maintaining a balanced diet. The teachers used the occasion to educate students about different dry fruits, their origin, and how they contribute to a balanced diet.
The children gained valuable insights into the health benefits of a variety of dry fruits. The children learnt that dry fruits are essential for their growth and development.
Madam Principal addressed the tiny tots and encouraged them to adopt healthy eating habits, emphasising that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Highlighting the benefits of the miracle food, rich in antioxidants and fiber, she urged the children to say a big no to junk food.
